Editorial: PG&E’s awful persistence

After destroying a Peninsula neighborhood and an entire Sierra Nevada town, being declared a felon and probation violator, and going bust for the second time in as many decades, is it possible that PG&E has learned nothing?

In a word, yes.

Pacific Gas and Electric Co. has arrived at the indisputable nadir of a history with no shortage of lows. After two consecutive years of shattering state records for death and destruction by fire, it’s the simultaneous subject of four major court proceedings.
