2018 Camp Fire Lawsuit Filed – 11-16-18

We were honored to file a complaint on behalf of Retired Police Chief Kirk Trostle and his wife Patty Garrison. The Chico Enterprise Record editorial on November 17th noted, “The second lawsuit, filed Friday, caught our eye because of the plaintiff. It was filed in Oroville by Kirk Trostle and Patricia Garrison, again naming PG&E as defendants.

2018 Camp Fire Lawsuit Filed – 11-29-18

The lawsuit, which CaseyGerry filed with co-counsel Thomas Tosdal and Michael Feinberg on behalf of 35 families, claims that the utility company was notified about sparks falling from power lines in Paradise over the course of two years. PG&E reportedly said it would repair the line on November 7, but the company failed to do so. Tragically, the fire started on November 8 and rapidly spread throughout Paradise and elsewhere in Butte County.

2018 Camp Fire Lawsuit Filed – 12-17-18

47 more families filed a lawsuit against PG&E for failing to safely and properly maintain its power lines and equipment, resulting in the loss of nearly everything they owned in the Camp fire. This complaint was filed less than a week after PG&E issued a supplemental letter to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) revealing more details about its equipment failures that started the most devastating fire in California history.
